I'll have the 21st if nobody else has got it.
Good luck! (I wouldn't worry about the screaming, they were probably all stoned)

12th March please. I'd like to win this sweepstake. If there's no movement on 11th, I'll be sending huge quantities of curry your way...Originally posted by formant View Post

Good luck! It might sting a bit but be thankful it's only childbirth and not man flu.

And, glad you weren't kept in for longer - playing the waiting game in the hospital is no fun. I was in for quite a few days before small child made an appearance, listening to the shreiks (sp?) and wailings of other birds drove me mental. One night, one woman kept calling for the midwives and telling them her waters had broken, eventually after trying to be nice to her about 5 times, an exasperated midwife said "No love, you've just pissed yourself.... AGAIN" -
Boy was I glad to get my own room.

Not nice, but to trot out the old cliche, you're in the right place. Hope all's well and you're home soon.
Edit: Just noticed you've got 666 posts - quick, post again before you give birth!!!

Aside from the food. Oh and beds in the maternity ward are clearly built for 5'4" ladies (I'm 6ft).
Could have done without witnessing all the screaming on the labour ward last night though. Scared now...

Do you know something, having been a sad, geeky, teenage, role-playing boy, I am well aware of what Cthulhu is, but I never even considered that your cartoon avatar was something like that. I was going down the lines of it being a character from some weird European cartoon show.Originally posted by formant View Post
