Now my UK based role has gone online as well & within the first 10 minutes I have two applications. It will be interesting to see the difference in candidates for this role as this one is more an opening graduate role working and being mentored by me directly.

What should be the criteria on which I sift the applications?

Degrees tell you they put up with inane and out of date theories for 3 years and still produced the goods. Perfect for dealing with most of middle management.

You have to congratulate the agency / contractor on their speed. I think he's a fail when it comes to attention to detail tho.

Thank fook for that. I've changed one of my roles from perm to contract & given to an agency. Lo and behold all of a sudden I've started getting resumes that actually match my job description.

The downside was, when I looked at the closest matching candidates linkedIn profile he didn't actually have any of the skills I'd asked for on there but funnily enough did on his resume.
