I'll try'nd have a look this evening.Originally posted by Platypus View PostIt says:

Don't sweat it Nick! Wouldn't want you to get distracted from real work!
EDIT: by the way, I think it used to do this in Chrome too, I recall talking to you about this way back when the new forum was released.
EDIT2 probably posted in the new forum forum, seems lost forever?
Not sure about the new forum forum, it might be hiding in the database somewhere? In which case it might also be in the test DB, and I can have a look there.

Complex one. Images in posts are set to a max-width of 800px, which IIRC was done in a vague attempt to discourage idiots from posting images that are clearly too large (which didn't work). The dimensions of the actual image are 964 x 961 pixels. Chrome enforces the max-width of 800px by scaling the image down; this makes the height 800 / 964 * 961 = 797.510373443984 pixels. When it calculates the height of the containing box, it rounds this down, so the box is 797px high. This makes it about half-a-pixel too short for the height of the image (which is the height Chrome itself imposed), so it shows a scrollbar.Originally posted by Zippy View PostThis is the only place I've seen this so far
No vertical scroll in FF but you get 'em with Chrome.
I'd say that's a bug in Chrome. It should round up to ensure that the containing block is big enough for a contained element whose size it has scaled to be a fractional number of pixels. So there.

I doubt the world will end though

Can't reproduce; Chrome/Mac, was on 22.0.1229.94, is now on 24.0.1312.52. As mudskipper says, that is very similar to a problem that plagued IE. Not sure what could be causing it on Chrome, and I don't currently have time to check on Chrome/Win, as ClientCo seem to think they have some call on my time
I'l see if I can have a look on Win later.
