Realistically if they were to ever try again they would lack the element of surprise necessary to overrun the airfield which is their only chance of holding the island. With that intact we could build up our forces quickly.

If the Argies did manage to occupy the Falklands and if, for either military or political/diplomatic reasons, Britain was unable to reoccupy them it would obviously be disastrous for whichever party was in power.

I worked for a start up about 10 years ago, the marketing director had a sniff of sale with an Argentinian company and some female rep from the place comes over to check the business and to tie up a deal, he ends up taking her out to an Argentinian steak house. Company went bust 2 year later.
