    Kudos for a great link!

Osmium has plummeted in price - 20 years ago pure Osmium was literally in the 100,000s of dollars per ounce, because it is fiendishly difficult (or used to be?) to separate it from Iridium as the two have very similar physical properties.

Maybe my osmium paper weight is a step closer to affordability, although it would need casing inside some inert metal such as gold because it (or the powdered form certainly) spontaneously oxidizes in air, producing a highly toxic gas Osmium Tetroxide. Also, only about 100 Kg is produced worldwide annually.

It's a deal. PM me with details for a meet up. I'll bring an Evian (I'll chuck in a bars mar as well) for 10Kg of Gold or Platinum. I'm happy with either.

That end of Britain report really did get me spooked!
You should Google "Tim Morgan project Armageddon" he goes into a lot more detail. The chap is global head of research for Tullet Prebon, a financial services company that in their last accounts had a nett worth of £623 million so probably a bit more knowledgeable than the people you find on here.
