I was quite disapointed. Not that I'm necessarily an Alonso fan, or Vettel hater, but after winning the last two I didn't want the same again.
You're right, my bad, he did earlier on. I was talking about later, when Vettel had to pit and went backwards again, and this time Webber stayed in front of him.

But getting through from last to wherever he finished certainly wasn't easy. A lot of drivers made mistakes in those conditions. At one point he was a second faster per lap than everyone else, until his team told him to slow down because he had enough points.

Having said all that, Alonso was magnificent in the last few races and it would have been incredible if he had finished as champion.

Getting from 23rd to 6th in the wet, where every overtake puts on a dodgy bit of tarmac, is still impressive. Lots of good drivers crashed or spun off with far less to do.

And I thought he got up to 5th or so, certainly top 10, BEFORE the safety car?

I disagree here; Webber moved out of the way with ease, as did the Torro Rosso's (Red Bulls), as did the german drivers; in fact, the only one who made him sweat, was Kobyashi. Lets also not forget he pretty much took out the midfield by driving into Senna and causing a multi car pile up, which he didn't get penalised for either...

Nice to see Massa continuing to do well, I started watching F1 the year he got clobbered in the head so I've never seen him at his best.

Alonso has been sensational this year, is this the 2nd or 3rd year Ferrari have produced crap cars though?

Liked that they got Bernie in on the joke at the end

Vettel will have to leave RBR if he genuinely thinks hes the best, as that team is tainting the WDC's he's winning. Is he really as good as Alonso, or as quick as Hamilton? I don't think he is. He also talked of him feeling no pressure, yet still hoofed up qualifying, had a terrible start, then turned into Senna (itself a drive through at bare minimum), took out 3/4 top cars with the crash, then had 4 cars on the teams side roll over for him going through the field.

No, jury is still out on the fella.

    Brilliant race.

TBH, I'd have been happy for either of them to win it - they both drove excellently throughout the year.

Feel a bit sorry for Hamilton, though. Still, his half-American accent and Yankee slang talk in every recent interview has started to grind on me, so I'll get over his loss.
