    there is an $85k exemption if you apply for it if you can prove you live overseas - there is a dual agreement with the UK so you dont get double taxed -

    the UK also taxes you on worldwide income even if you don't live there - and I don't believe there are any exemptions .

    I consider not having a US visa or a green card a privilege.

    I sometimes look into my personal documents and admire the fact that it isn't there.

    B1/B2 visas are business visit visas not work permits. You need a H1-B which is more akin to the UK Tier 2 permit. As MF said, there is no US equiv. of the UK Tier 1 (formerly HSMP) permit.

    Anyone contracted there ? How quickly can you get a visa ( B-1/B-2 ? ) after an offer from a client ? I assume most US agents demand on working through a US LTD?
