Run Lola Run (Lola Rennt) - love this movie - lots of interesting Berlin landscapes
Martha - about a female Chef, missus made me watch it, was very good - remade in Hollywood with Catherine Zeta Jones
Gegen Sie Wand - about the Turkish community in Hamburg.
Triumph of the Wills (Triumph des Willens) Leni Riefenstal Hitler propaganda movie - worth watch a even if you are not a nazi sympathiser.
Nosferatu the Vampyre - Kate Bush used the Gregorian Chanting music in her song can't remember on seminal Hounds Of Love. Another movie with Bruno Ganz in it.
Also liked - blame it on fidel, but the french.

Lola rennt is pretty amazing. The director's "the princess and the warrior" is very good too.

127 hours - really enjoyed it at the cinema. The way they shot the pain with blasts of light and noise really had you feeling it.

Hate to say it, but I agree with Gentile with regard to No Country for Old Men. Thought it was a pile of pish.

Heat and Miami Vice are pretty good too, especially if you've got a home cinema to appreciate the quality of the surround sound. Michael Mann certainly knows how to direct. Collateral (2004) wasn't as good IMHO, purely because I couldn't take Tom Cruise seriously in that character, but those three films between them still contain the prettiest gunfights you'll see all year. That's Michael Mann's forte.

No Country for Old Men, for me, was a masterpiece. Switched it off the first time I saw it, but like Fargo, it just grows on you.Last edited by BillHicksRIP; 5 October 2012, 10:29.

Resident Evil - Milla gets it tight (clothing .. behave yourself) for the lads see above.
