so you've answered your question. With only 1 other project that can possibly be used to take the blame they are trying to pin the blame elsewhere.

    Go get them tiger.

That's very silly. You should not hit more than about 70% of deadlines otherwise you will create unrealistic expectations and give managermen the idea that you don't need all the staff you've got.

As SY05 (just turned 3) says, 'azackry'. Meaning 'exactly'.

started a topic A most bizarre state of affairs

A most bizarre state of affairs

Still in the same gig, as technical team lead. Last 2 weeks. UAT is in the final stages and the data migration project I am heading up is also getting close.

Our project (only ickle 200K one) feeds into a 12 mil SAP project which is hitting the buffers. TBH I don't care as I will be long gone before they go live. At every turn they have needed my help and support and I have given it willingly. Then after periods of help and saving their bacon they turn nasty and put the knife in.

Countless times they have put the boot in, and tried to make us the scapegoat. Tried to cite us as the reason they are running late. Countless times I have steered our project off the rocks. We have hit every single deadline. Its a rag tag and bobtail team I am leading, but I do seem to have a knack with the old man management and leadership and getting the best out of people and shielding them from political bollocks.

We are due to deliver on time, 12th Oct.

All good in the hood. Except the senior exec have started pulling my PM for regular kickins. Problems with governance, problems with reporting. Why do this now? What at the very very tail end of the project?

They keep chucking in barriers, hurdles and hills to climb that just aren't there. I told the PM to push back and tell them he is too focused on delivery and to pick this up at lessons learned.

Still they keep coming. PM has just about had enough.

I have had enough. So I sent them a snottogram today along the lines of, if you truly believe our project is so tulip then have the balls to pull it or back the **** off and let us deliver it ffs.

Still heard nothing back. I wonder if I have a gig to go to on Monday

Working...
