    Pacharan?

    Who he?

My predictive text to blame. Doesn't appear to be a feature that lets you edit titles

Also if 47% of Americans are on benefits then 53% aren't, and that's a majority(although I don't know how the percentages are distributed within states).

So maybe his supposed slips are actually craftily planned, to be all the more convincing as overheard and leaked and thus undeniable sincerity.
47% don't pay income tax - they're not on benefits, they are low paid. Essentially telling them that you aren't bothered about them is unlikely to sway any of them that might have changed votes. I still can't understand how the poorly paid vote Republican, other than they cling to the "American dream" that someday they will make it rich some how, and so want to pre-empt this by having a government that cuts tax for the rich at the expense of the poor.

Either way, he needs to win the states which have a working class population like PA, which those remarks aren't going to impress.

No, I agree, but you will not hear many say it, despite most probably thinking it.

As for the Jewish vote, well, he'll get some plaudits, but Obama has been fairly hawkish about Israel. I think it will be seen as a foot in mouth moment.

If he were a decent Republican candidate against a Democrat with Obama's record, he'd be romping it home by now. Instead, he's at least 3 points behind.
