Ok, that doesn't mean they won't grow out of it etc. But I'm only passing on what the mum said.

Didn't the americans prove this gene in a fruitfly or something stupid like that, then try and say they could "cure" homosexuality?
I seem to remember some rally against this, but given I can't trust my memory anymore, it could have been a dream

There has been a lot of research into the "gay gene", most of which concludes that at least some homosexuality is genetically determined.

I grew up with a friend who was gay and it was obvious to everyone else before it was for him, but I'd say it was junior school that he started to stand out as being a bit "different"
His life was a misery between 11 and 14 and I certainly don't think many would "choose" that lifestyle during my time.
I do however think that more people seem to experiment nowadays , due to fashion or whatever, but have absolutely nothing to back that up at all really! It could always be that the proportion hasn't changed and the social acceptance has worked.

The best thing is, Thatcher would have disliked you quite a bit. Despite my objections to her policy choices, she had the economic welfare of the UK at the forefront of her mind...
Listening to you talk about fighting for "britains competitiveness" and "necessary steps" whilst bringing in cheap foreign labour that destroys the competitiveness of UK business , for short term profit; having no salable skills of your own. Ruddy agents, what do you contribute to the economy ? You just leach and push up the cost of us guys.. Don't give me your "I have connections rubbish either".
Now that's hypocracy.
Seriously, how can we expect someone who has no salable talent of their own, creaming massive % off workers -not to support total capitalist economics.
What will you have to say for yourself when in 10 years the UK I.T. industry is dead? It's lefites fault?
Please, if you can't take anything on board about politics or the middle ground, at least learn the meaning of the word cliche... If you excuse the pun
Finally, of course I don't work for nothing, to suggest that anyone working for a charity should do it for free is effectively wanting charities to fail. We're back to this if you want to help starving people you have to starve yourself nonsense.
I do work on a 100% cost recovery model though, and my being here for the short term reduces operating costs for the long term.Last edited by Scoobos; 18 September 2012, 09:54.
