I like Morrissey but I do wish he'd STFU sometimes, for someone who doesn't live in the UK he sure has a lot to say about it.
He lives in Rome now doesn't he? Italy isn't exactly shy of national pride.
He was in L.A before that.

I agree that patriotism and nationalism need discussion, but right now, people are enjoying the fun side of Olympic success, so nobody really wants that discussion. Wait until the games have passed and then raise the issue in a more sensible way.
I am immensely enjoying the Olympics, but there's no reason for anyone to self-censor at the moment.
