LG Prada - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

LG Electronics has claimed the iPhone's design was copied from the LG Prada. Woo-Young Kwak, head of LG Mobile Handset R&D Center, said at a press conference, “We consider that Apple copied the Prada phone after the design was unveiled when it was presented in the iF Design Award and won the prize in September 2006.”[8]
LG later claimed that Apple stole both the ideas and concept of the Prada phone.

This is a bit like telling a child to stand in the corner of the room and face the wall, they are acting like children so what other choice does the justice system have other than to treat them like children? Will the child stop being a nuisance? Probably not, but then they will need to give them a smack on the hands or send them to the headmaster.

I agree it's quite embarassing but considering the money that is at stake it won't make a bit of difference

Do you think that this is an attempt to get manufactures to think twice about these type of infringement cases on very generic designs?

BBC News - Apple ordered to run Samsung 'did not copy iPad' adverts

A UK judge has ordered Apple to publish announcements that Samsung did not copy the design of its iPad, according to the Bloomberg news agency.

It said the judge said one notice should remain on Apple's website for at least six months, while other adverts should be placed in various newspapers and magazines.
