Wasn't there an episode where Airwolf came up against a "bad" clone of itself? Or was that Knight Rider?Originally posted by BoredBloke View PostIt wasn't, Airwolf was pants. It was something of a bully as it only took on rubbish helicopters with some crap rocket launcher strapped to it or some crop dusting type plane. You never really saw it up against something as new as itself.

I remember when he used to play piano badly for comedic effect:

> sniff <
And his unforgettable appearance on I'm A Celebrity:

It made me fondly remember his previous seminal work in other childhood classics such as Rentaghost and Porridge. I never knew he was such a great character actor: I actually believed he was English back in those halcyon days of childhood.
And of course who could forget his classic early work:

So long, funny, serious, bush tucker bug-eating man. We'll not see your like in these parts again any time soon.

How odd I thought I was the only one who got him confused with Ernest.Originally posted by Gentile View PostPssst, that was Lionel Stander:

and unfortunately he's "been deed" since 1994.
Edit: I see Dodgy's had this conversation with someone else already today. If Ernie is up there I'm sure he'll be heartened to know that his work is so fondly remembered that he even gets credit for stuff that wasn't his.

Ahh very sad, always remember him in the classic Poseidon Adventure. Classic viewing on hungover Sunday afternoons. His IMDb page just goes on for ever!!! Not many people have work ranging from the Dirty Dozen right through to Spongebob Squarepants
