    If you are young joy rider or looking for a car for your latest crime you are better of taking a bog standard car that suits your age so the police won't stop you in unless they were specifically looking.

    Where you live has more of an effect. the car I bought to use down here was a 400 banger. insuring it at home was 800 a year (no no ncaims on second car). At my mates house where the car stayed 7 days a week it was 270.

    It's general f all to do with your car. You can do as much damage to the other drivers car and body at 50mph whatever the value of the car you drive. That is what makes up the majority of your premium nowadays. Thank the whiplash brigade for that.
