Not if you want to see both pages side by side.

Which is rather the point of investing in a super big widescreen monitor, isn't it?

That's my advice too. Many years ago I found out the hard way.

Money paid into personal account got transferred to business account, business account overdraft cancelled. Folks said that was illegal, and it may have been, but I wasn't in a very strong position at the time.

Got left with 60 quid to my name when I was starting a contract the next week.

They compounded it by sending a separate letter for each and every standing order / direct debit which subsequently bounced, sending me way into the red. At twenty quid per letter I knew who the thieves were. [1]

I've never trusted one bank alone ever since. Cockups happen. Today it's Barclays' turn for an online banking outage

[1] The very same bank manager tried it on with an ex-colleague of mine and they were after his house. In the end he took them to court and won thousands. He was fortunate to have some backers with very deep pockets by that time.

Santander is well known for having for having one of the worst service records going though.... Apart from a few server outages I haven't had to test it out thank god.
And if you phone them you get to speak to thick, useless scousers.

Santander were the worst bank I have ever used - never had a problem with Lloyds or HSBC but Santander managed to cock everything up and have charges for everything. Then trying to actually close the account was a massive hassle - I would advise to go from Santander to Smile!

I found this as well! Had to have my accountant send two different letters to them just because my company is registered with them yet I use my home for most correspondence... including my business account that I already have with them.... Very weird.

I was however very happy with the way the handled my new years gift of some £$%^&* managing to relieve me of £20k.

Looks like I was mistaken about seeing personal and business accounts on one screen though, wasn't I? the do look to be totally separate.

What I'd give to have a current account which will move a percentage of funds to a different account for VAT etc... all banking IT still seems to live in the dark ages...

    Worth the hassle of moving?

    Thanks

We have, and apart from a couple of start up glitches, it works perfectly.

    I'd go for it.
