We both like that show as well pach. A recommendation; Try watching 'dealers' on discovery as well, same format and enjoyable. I think you said you don't get discovery, but you will find it on that site we were talking about.

I'm sorry love, can you translate that, to English?Originally posted by cojak View PostI'm seriously considering dumping our telly, I just watch more iplayer than I do slumped on the sofa...

Indeed. They compared it to the Myra Hindley hand print thing. Which I saw and wanted to destroy. Mrs BP says it is good that art stirs an emotion in me.Originally posted by Troll View PostThought the Auschwitz thang was a bit pointless & distasteful - the offer of its gold content price and condition the artist (sic) then destroyed it was interesting
Who would spend £500k on a watch? Apart from sasguru I expect there are few.

Its one of those shows that I thoroughly enjoyed watching - but I can't remember any of the items for sale!

Four Rooms
Thoroughly enjoying this show on C4.
For those who haven't seen it the format is this. A prospective seller of some item of interest has the chance to enter 4 separate rooms inside each of which is a dealer with whom he or she will talk turkey.
Some haggling ensues before they arrive at the maximum price the dealer is prepared to pay.
Now, this figure may or may not be acceptable to the seller. If they turn it down, they go to the next room and enter a new negotiation, never having a second chance to accept the offer they've just refused.
If they accept the offer, any remaining unvisited dealers reveal how much they would have been prepared to pay.
Have been some odd items, a medical manequin of a pregnant woman with stomach cut open, a set of Ku Klux Clan outfits and, most toe curlingly, an antique dildo belonging to the owner's grandmother.
Shame the lovely Emma from the first series is no longer in it though.Tags: None
