    Several points to answer that:
    1. You can terminate new employees very easily too; probation periods are the norm
    2. Even if you terminate after a week, that's a couple of grand wasted
    3. That is dwarfed by the hassle of having to start looking for another person, you could lose man-weeks of work if you hire the wrong contractor, for a loss of £10k+
So even if you can drop them, bringing someone in for a year is a big decision that should be carefully made.

Clearly they're not. And no reason they should be - a contractor hired for a full year is neither a cheap nor a short-term measure. For a 3-monther it's a different story, but making a business decision to spend £100k in 20 minutes isn't prudent.

Contract interview are quick 20-40 mins just covering your CV and telling you about the role with maybe a few questions thrown in. Anything more than that and I would reject it.

    Depends on the company.

Most other interviews I had were 20-40 mins tops with just one person and that was it.
Aren't most of your projects utter tulipe though?

Great role and rate but away from home so took something closer.

I'd be wary about this one.

    Best of luck btw.

Also good luck with your first performance review and pending IR35 case.

Third interview? Sorry guv I got pissed off waiting for a decision I took another contract elsewhere that only gave the one interview.

We are contractors FFS. If they interview you like a permie, expect trouble.
But if they just bring someone in quickly, they end up with someone like you who appears to know their stuff but then gets demoted to DBA and posts all their assignments on CUK for help.

You're in no position to mock Suity. Still, look on the bright side, at least this means more time for the two of you to spend down the gym together. I've heard they're even upgrading the changing rooms, putting in a new bench to sit on so you don't have to bend over when doing up your shoelaces.
