I still prefer the old Unix X-Windows style focus-follows-pointer and select automatically copies to buffer.

I use the mouse with my left hand. And no I'm not left handed.Originally posted by Spacecadet View PostCtrl + C,V can be used one handed whilst still using the mouse in right hand.
I also Ctrl+Ins/Shift+Ins/Shift+Del. But oddly if I use cut and paste of files in explorer, I'll always use Ctrl+C/X/V.

I never suggested that either method should be discarded. I was simply pointing out a possible reason why ctrl+C,V is more popular than the alternative methodOriginally posted by WotNxt View PostIt seems to me that BOTH methods need to be kept around for good so everyone is happy.

Being left-handed Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, Ctrl-X is so painful to use I only ever do it when really necessary ... like when applications are badly written and do not support CTRL-INS, SHIFT-INS, SHIFT-DEL very well.
It seems to me that BOTH methods need to be kept around for good so everyone is happy.
