Then, the leader of the party needs to go.

Then, he needs to become leader of the party.

Finally, if the party are not in power, he needs to lead the party to an election win or draw.

There's a few hurdles left for him, but a return as an MP would be Cameron's worst nightmare.
If someone had posted the same about a move from 'Have I Got News For You' to the Mayor of London you would have laughed..........

    Lets dispel a few rumours.

If Boris is such a clown how did he get to run London while so many clearly more intelligent people are sat here talking about him...

He is extremely astute and will no doubt pip George Osborne for the Job.

If you want to see another Buffoon then take a good look at Jacob Rees-Mogg, another media oddity. He is so stupid that he earned millions as a hedge fund specialist in his own right, before kicking out an otherwise slimy but well liked Labour politician in an area where the family are so hated they would probably struggle to find a person that would urinate on them if they were on fire...

Plenty of idiots in the Conservative party...

Don't know if he'd be a good PM but I agree he is far more astute than given credit for.

It would make a change from having it the other way around.

Boris showed himself up to be a upper class clown on HIGNFY - surely this cannot be allowed to happen?
