Is anyone else reminded of the episode of the Simpsons where they go to Australia, the guy complains about Bart's behavior all the way to the Prime Minister and then proceeds to jump to the next farm were the Prime Minster is working.

    Nope.

    Just me then.

    Welcome back!

While you've been gone the Internet has fallen completely out of fashion. There's only a couple of people still on it. This message has been pre-recorded.

This has worked for me on other companies in the past.

When I've had problems with BT in the past (luckily not often) I have found you get a better response by going through to their faults dept.

Aha, Bashing "BT" into Company Search comes up with some useful looking numbers.

I see the website claims to have been around since 1999. A couple of years late for my big BT disaster, but would have come in useful for other "events" later.

Edit: read full thread, I see you did now

Have you ever been put through to the UK call centre?

If not, first thing you do, go on the front foot to speak to the off shore guys manager. Demand it. Tell them in a couple of short sentances you've been through all the "on and off again" stuff. You want their manager right now.

Then when you do finally get the manager, demand to be immediately put through to the UK call centre.

They will protest, but they should eventually do it. Then you might get somewhere.

Yep, im sure it would be farly easy to configure BitTorrent over loads of 3G dongles, so no loss of movies

Each dongle is basically just another network connection, so if you could figure out some form of load balancing (variant of PPP Multilink maybe??), i see no reason why this wouldnt work (unless there is some hard limitation to the number of dogles you can have on one PC)

I'm sure our techincal expert Dearnla will have this knocked together for us in a few minutes..
