    That is just THE perfect scenario for a developer, you lucky sod.


    I just had a 'review' today with the MD

    his croney, a pretend BA, wondered why my estimate varied between '3 months with a half decent spec', or 'twelve months without'
    he clearly believes that a garbled email equates to a spec.

    I really think its not my job to educate these folks, but I feel bad for not delivering the impossible.

    I'm quite enjoying myself at the moment. Having spent the previous two years bored out my mind testing, it's nice to be back in a development role.

    Working on a small system (just me) doing everything, and left pretty much to my own devices - liaising directly with the end users. I find I get my head down and get into a kind of hypnogogic zone and before I know it it's 5pm and hometime

    Bores me to tears but it pays the bills so i'm not looking to move....and yes...i'm definitely in it for the money and not the love. Otherwise I'd be working 4 minutes from home and the family rather than 4 hours from it.
    Would much rather be opening a climbing centre but not earned enough for that yet
