I had a letter from them a few weeks ago. Attached to it was a cheque for just under £4000 overpaid tax from 2008

My other half had one. It just struck me as HMRC incompetence of some form.

Letter from Hector

Got a letter from the HMRC, ammounting to, please be sure you are telling us the truth to ensure taxes are calculated correctly.
