    Would that rate even cover the travel and accommodation expenses into London, or cover the cost of living there?

    I doubt it. I think a 'survey' (can't remember the source so may have been bollocks) found that you need at least £50k / year to even start to live comfortably in London. Of course that may be per household so a couple earning £25k each may be enough.

    £200/day over the year, assuming ~20 work days a month comes to only £48k.

    Ok, the rate is bloomin awful, but get this:

    Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes
    Ability to quickly adapt to change in priorities
    Tolerance for conflicting demands on time and resources
    So basically:

    we're hopeless, we can't run projects, we can't decide what we want, but we want it yesterday.....
