Erm no, I think quite accurate. Let's break it down.

Either you are a cognitive person or a schmarming bulltulipter or shades of grey in between. You as the latter could not comprehend the complexity of this study, or even fathom out how someone as bright as me could score so highly on the cognitive level.

What I also take from this is that I am not very good at the schmarming, schmoosing and game playing that contracting needs from time to time (take this current contract where I am being pushed from pillar to post because I am a) fooking good technically, b) a bit of a soft touch)

The idea is that there are traits that can masquerade as rational thinking, and if you have those traits in abundance, you can actually fool people for your whole life. You only have to look at Tony Blair to understand that while he was very very smooth, he was never really very clear (the third way), but he fooled us many times by appearing to be a clear thinker.

so the cognitive skills are
Clear, accurate, Knowledgeable, clever, self confidence

and these can be counterfeited by

smooth, articulate, confident, cunning, Arrogance (overly proud)


this is nothing to do with inteligence , simply a way of compensating for skills you lack
