I thought you were already SC cleared. Doesn't it just roll over from one contract to the next or do you need to go through it for each one?
Might do, might not.
It might be different these days, with the new agency, but in the past some didn't trust each other to do a proper check. Every time I've had it (apart from the first), it's needed to be started again because they couldn't rely on the previous organization to do it "right" (or meet their standards, or some such).
Especially when they let you start, but you can't have a login, can't look at anything, have no access to the outside world, and need to be escorted everywhere
I spent three months reading the Oracle manuals once
Eventually, I got a machine with no access to anything, so I spent the time setting my own Sudoku's in Excel
Yep, been cleared before. Should be interesting to see how far they dig for this one... Oi CM, that Great-Aunt of yours...
In the meantime, my next project looks likely to be "No mobile phones, no access to the internet and about six months to get the clearance!"
