    Yup, I just got a refund from O2 for that, i've been on a couple of short Euro trips this month and got a bill for over £100 in roaming charges. Phoned them up and said WTF and they refunded me down to 40 quid as said it should have been blocked above that.

    I see it was some yanks who did this which seems about right since in my opinion the word international doesnt even figure for them. Its USA or nothing. They probably thought they were still in the US.

    But phone company should have blocked at some point. I think I'm right in saying that in the UK now if you visit a EU country it auto blocks at £40 or something now?

    Its only a phone company, the worst they can do is cancel the contract. The company is at fault they should cut the phone at a certain amount.
