Can't see the point in changing gear when you drive something like that though.

It doesn't really matter as it was bought to sell on. The auto box on these things blunts performance and the manuals are jolly rare.

I'm shortly after a weekend plaything but I'm not overly flushed at the moment so criteria would be:

- £10000 budget
- Must be 4 seat (or 2+2)
- Prefer an older Sports model where the depreciation has hit bottom.
- Must be reasonably fast.

Trouble is for the same money as the 335i (which looks rather dull and common these days) you can get a 645i even in drop top guise, which I think is a better weekend plaything. The 335i is an IT bods commuter car, not a plaything.

M Sport 335i has a more sporty suspension (read hard) and spoilers than SE and everyone knows cars with spoilers are faster.

Most say it's too hard, here's an SE that must be faster, although the mileage seems too good to be true

It's an excellent car, very tunable. Being a chav I prefer the M Sport over the SE.
