    It's been downhill all the way since they dispensed with Williams Tubes.

    Oddly, earlier on, Wiki denied knowledge of Williams Tubes, now it knows:

    That CRT looks like a VCR97 to me, but I may be wrong.

    They must have been 10 a penny just after the war, out of defunct radar sets.
