    Probably more all the garden implement stimuli around you than that particular song.

    Similar thing happened to me at our local garden centre a few weeks back. They were playing the Nick Stroker Band and I experienced similar sensations to yourself.

    I since concluded that these were caused by my being in close proximity to a John Deere sit on mower.

    A couple of sources do agree though. Rock Band Name Origins at WHAT'S IN A NAME

    LOVIN' SPOONFUL - 1) from the lyrics of the old song "Coffee Blues". Possibly a drug reference to the spoon used to heat & melt drugs such as heroin for use. 2) Also that the amount of the sperm ejaculated by the average male is about a spoonful (see also the band 10cc
