    Looking at it in a slighlty more detached way, hard to say from that brief report whether they deserved a harsher sentence or not. Did they just film him being pushed in or did they film him drowning? Did they have any idea he couldn't swim? did they make any attempt to rescue him when they realised he was in difficulty? Anybody got any more details?

    The only thing that you can be sure of is that the judge and the barristers all made a tidy sum from the trial. Barristers are on more than £200 per hour.
