5100Originally posted by d000hg View PostI recommend Santander's cash ISA but you can only put 5200 in it. You can put up to 10200 in ISAs altogether, but no more than half in your cash ISA.
If you try to put 5200 in, it will most likely be refunded back in full and you may miss the deadline

Because banks are not as desperate for extra business at START OF THE YEAR, then they would be at the end in hope to get fat bonus if they hit sales target?Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostWhat I love about this is, everyone leaves it until the end of the year. Why not put on £10200 at the beginning of the financial year????

I'm doing both... just put this year's in and will then do next year's with the end-of year company dividends immediately. It does mean mine and my wife's ISAs will be full up before I even touch dividends for next year so I've no idea where to put the cash...
I recommend Santander's cash ISA but you can only put 5200 in it. You can put up to 10200 in ISAs altogether, but no more than half in your cash ISA. The rest has to go in stocks/shares which is a much more tricky proposition... I wouldn't do that as a rash decision.
