You're only real remedy is court - and with the high priced lawyers insurance companies have...little chance of winning. Or bringing in your own experts - perhaps through a accident management firm and scaring them that way.
It really is a scam. Now if I only had £500,000 I could exempt myself and leave those pigs behind.

This sort of thing happens all the time. As for moving on, all insurance companies are as crap as each other.
Still trying to sort out my van after nearly six weeks because they won't accept responsibility for an auxiliary belt tensioner fault caused by the accident or give me any assurance that they won't say the same if it turns out to have other transmission problems. You park a perfectly working vehicle, it gets slammed by a 3 ton truck while in reverse gear and suddenly it has faults that have mysteriously occurred through shear coincidence, even though anyone with an ounce of engineeering knowledge would know it's crap.
The daft thing is that they always cheat their own customers like this but usually give in to third party claims as in your case because it isn't worth the expense of contesting. It's simpler to pay up and recover the money through their customers' no claims discount.Last edited by xoggoth; 25 January 2011, 13:17.

How hard can it be to write down the junction of the motorway, roughly the time at which it happened, that the other driver admitted liability and a simple diagram of a car joining from a slip road and a lorry hitting it. Given the amount or rubbish you post on here this should be something you could knock out in no time.

You may recall a truck crashing into the side of my car while I was joining the motorway.
Before collecting the repaired car I got a call from LV telling me driver admitted liability and excess waived accordingly. (Drivers actual words were, “I am very sorry I did not see you”, before letting me sit in his cab to see how restricted his view was).
Several weeks later I get a call, telling me that LV made a mistake and the other party are now challenging.
