If a red (or reds) is potted and there's a foul during the shot, the red stays down. That's why the answer to the quiz question starts with potting all the reds and the white. It gets rid of the reds for a total cost of 4 points.

What if you pot all the reds, followed by the white, all in one miraculous shot?Originally posted by Bunk View Post
You get 15 points for potting all the reds in one go.
That isn't a smart-ass rhetorical question, as I genuinely don't know if all the reds have to go back on the table in that event. But if not then their points wouldn't count would they, and the whole shot would be a foul.

Suppose I pot all 15 reds in one shot. I only get 1 point for that. Then I miss my colour.
The other player then cleans up the colours for 27.
That gives a combined score of 28, doesn't it?

Which bit are you disputing? The question or answer?

What about if a player pots ALL the balls, at once, on the first shot?

Bunk was spot onOriginally posted by FiveTimes View Postplayer 1 pots 15 reds and goes in off.
Score = 15-4.
Player 2 cleans up and wins 31-15

Player one knocks in all 15 reds in one go, he scores zero, opponent gets 4
Player two knocks in the colours, scores 27 plus 4 = 31
That's the total combined score.
