    Quite so. Nearly all product insurances are a waste of money, 30% or more of cost price pa for a pretty low risk is daft. In the case of electrical goods, if they are going to go wrong it will be early on due to preexisting fault/weekness and covered by warranty.

    DFS Sofa Thread - Watchdog

    Did anyone see Watchdog this evening.

    They had a good five minutes on DFS and on how they sold insurance & special Fabric stain protection for sofas that couldn't actually be protected by it.

    Why on earth you would be suckered into paying an extra £150 on top of a 12 week delivery & fake leather sofa I have no idea.

    But for those interested sounds like a con.

    If I split a drink on my sofa I find that ermine wipes down quite nicely.
