If you want a decent bed try warren evans, they are based in London but do deliver nationwide, if you want a decent mattress you will end up paying good money. If you are going to spend around the £500 mark, then pay a little extra and get a memory foam one. You wont regret it.
    WNS

You think 12 weeks delivery was bad in DFS, Harveys can usually beat that, even if they promis 3 weeks in the first instance.

    MultiYork for sofas.
    Dreams for beds.

Nowt wrong with Ikea if you're not a pretentious twit. Our old leather sofa wouldn't physically fit up the stairs in our current house so we got a cheapish Ikea one. Hardly amazing but not ugly either, comfortable and cheap. But mainly, when we move we won't get the same problem. Their more expensive stuff is better than the big chains, IMO.

Anyway, isn't a sofa where you sit with friends, girlfriends and family?

What is aTw going to do with one of those?

Why are you bothered what it's like to sit on???

With all these parties you have to go to and meeting investors/shareholders/award dinners surely you'll never be at home?

I saw a bed for £50, including mattress I think, in one of those cheap homes stores, forget the name. All the battens were broken though and there were large signs requesting customers not to touch the beds, which clearly went unheeded. Plus it was only a double, and not King size.

Interesting that they have massive guarantees on loads of their products.

Our sofa bed from there is now 5 years old and still going strong.

My dad (who has built his fair share of kitchens) says their kitchen carcasses are the best value you can get from any DIY store - if you're not having it built by a joiner in oak then it's the best place to go.

Perhaps it's the cheap stuff they sell that breaks.

Ebay sells new goods too grandad, infact it's a brilliant place to find small retailers selling stuff at good prices.
