My dad (who has built his fair share of kitchens) says their kitchen carcasses are the best value you can get from any DIY store - if you're not having it built by a joiner in oak then it's the best place to go.

I saw a bed for £50, including mattress I think, in one of those cheap homes stores, forget the name. All the battens were broken though and there were large signs requesting customers not to touch the beds, which clearly went unheeded. Plus it was only a double, and not King size.Comment
