Last night I was too hungry to wait for food so had a pizza, then cooked at my leisure. The reward was a delicious sweet and sour pork casserole for lunch

I never heard of anyone getting a reward for eating pizza before.

Can't think of a downside to Autumn. I love this time of year.

Too f**king right. Mrs RC & I are going on a 2 week cruise round the Canaries for Xmas & New Year.

Best: Warm soups. Cosy homes and country pubs. Leaves changing colour and falling. Cheaper weekends away.

The colours are simply wonderful at the moment. Last night I was too hungry to wait for food so had a pizza, then cooked at my leisure. The reward was a delicious sweet and sour pork casserole for lunch, and that will do for lunch tomorrow too (having cooked it slowly last night I also I put it on a slow heat from 9 this morning).

Worst: dark evenings. Weather getting worse. Kids with fireworks or demanding money with menaces.

No fireworks here but the dark evenings are a pain. At least I get to travel to work in daylight; that wasn't true in Northern UK and I used to hate that.

Did the Space Centre on the 1st trip

Done the Canaries but cheap flights means it's full of chavs (although FV was nice the last time I was there)

Florida can be cheap - but I hate the 9 hour flight and American Immigration arseholes

Rather fancy a trip to Luxor this time

US - Always fun - long trip
Canaries - nice places depends where you are gettig cold now
Luxor - Full of thieving murderous con merchants (sell you too many Egyptian statues and threaten to kill you) Egyptians ( I have business issues!!)

Ryanair does cheap flights to Lanzarote; around £50 return. Trouble with Florida is that you might end up spending huge amounts of wonga visiting the Space Centre, etc? Or are there cheap things to do there, as well as cheap flights?
