The bloke is vile. A TV presenter with a track record of saying things that upset some of the people here. I don't think that this picture of him is that recent either.

It does highlight that this country is about where the UK was about twenty years ago regarding what is acceptable to say about other people. You don't see it much in people younger than thirty, but the racism and homophobia that comes out of people older than that is really an eye-opener. Of course they just complain about PC Bulltulip.

Some people here are more concerned about the fact that the Governor General has now delivered a fawning apology to the people of India.

I believe Bobland is 4 hours ahead

I think the Times of India is using comments made on this site for it's material !!!

He was right. Some of us are old enough to remember this.

"These remarks are totally unacceptable to India and should be condemned by all right-thinking people and nations."
    1. Get off your high horse, dear. You're not that important.
    2. Get a sense of humour/thicker skin.
    3. Stop trying to deflect attention away from the woefully substandard games that you are supposed to be 'overseeing'.

As you may know I'm not a fan of Bobland but that wasn't really acceptable. I can imagine a boyish smirk its up there with Biggus Diccus but "because she is an Indian" is well across the line.
you got me thinking now vetran.

we all have our own personal line, across which we dont find things funny.
we all have our own personal line across which we find things offensive.

maybe its the width of the gap between the two thats important. peeps with a narrower gap are more sensitive an volatile ? less tolerant

    just a thought
