I thought it was a great vehicle for older actors to spend the remainder of their lives. Burt Kwok, Russ Abbot to name just a couple. So it does seem a shame. I enjoyed allowing it to wash over me on a Sunday evening, as it ambled and meandered through the "plot".
On the other hand, if they started repeating them from 1973, I doubt anyone would notice a difference.
Maybe in 10 years time, it'll be revamped and relaunched like Dr Who was.
( How about gh000dlike as a custom title? )

Last of Last of the Summer Wine
Finally the very, very last episode. I haven't watched for at least a decade, but have fond memories as a child watching with my parents as a young child on Sunday evenings, sitting on the carpet in front of the fire.
Actually a bit sad, although I don't know if I'd even know many of the characters these days.Tags: None
