Hmm, pretty good film. I wonder what others I've missed out on.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostIt's a movie. About a fella working on the moon. It's very clever.
With that success, I'm Torrenting:
Avatar (I hope it's in playable format, as it doesn't look like it so far, being called a DVD rip. Downloading fast though, so can't be arsed to restart)
Centurion (looks like what I want, but when downloading comes up as "Betty shakes her boobs" or something, not sure what's going on there, I tried several "Centurion" torrents and they all show the same. I'll let it run and see what comes out. At least it's mp4.
Cargo. Just hanging looking for seeds
Might try: Clash of the Titans and Legion, but they both have poor reviews.
Might try District 9 later too. Oh, and 2012.

Execllent one's there, use next time! Gone with a geeky guy using his specialist knowldege of decryption to decode The Book of Revelations. After leaving the program running all night he comes back to find the author was really saying - Darn it, my *rse is itching today. Probably won't get it finished in time.

That's very considerate of her; gives you a moment of privacy with your guest.Originally posted by xoggoth View PostYeh. In my experience it's always ok for wives to invite male friends round but if you invite a female friend round they get all huffy, storm off upstairs and slam the door.

A man takes his car for a spin in a dystopian society where every possible traffic violation is caught on camera - going too fast, going to slowly, too much acceleration, failing to slow when spotting a pedestrian, not switching engine off at traffic lights, driving too close to the kerb, driving too close to the centre of the road, not giving a cyclist enough room, terrifying a cyclist by sitting behind them when there was in fact enough room to overtake... etc.
Probably he makes it home, then 3 months later finds out that he's committed so many violations that he's accrued enough points for the death penalty.

Hows about the web murdering someone ?
google-death.
a guy writes an email that gets picked up by the FBI, because he says that the new film Alice is going to bomb. It's dodgy son.
the FBI are too lazy to investigate, so they google and find out that Dodgson is dead, so they put him on the suspected murderer file. One of his associates, an insane hat maker is found to be of jewish extraction so MOSSAD get involved.
Mossad know he is a murderer by now and a bomber , so they do him in.
it could happen

I'm giving torrenting it a go. I don't think I've yet managed to successfully download anything big using torrents though.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostIt's a movie. About a fella working on the moon. It's very clever.

Should have been iBrain obviously. South Park has nicked all the best wierd deformity stories, face like a bum, foetus growing out of chin etc.

How about someone with something surreal wrong with them? Kind of edward scissorhands. How they cope with everyday life, prejudices etc, and finally accept their difference (or have it cured and realise how much they miss it).

Have you watched Moon recently?Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostYou could carry on with the iBrian theme without the murdering aspect. e.g. the guy loads all his memories, etc, onto the iBrian and the machine is able to mimic him (for some reason that makes this proocess difficult to replicate). In fact it mimics him exactly. It is him! But they argue and fall out and the man is left in a quandary as to whether he should turn this machine off, effectively killing a sentient being. Something like that. Loads of possibilities. It might be ruled unlawful to turn off the machine. Or the machine could simultaneously be plotting to turn off his human counterpart! Or want to kill itself. Or want a new personality.
