    Calcutta too, 1989, the "rat boy" was a tourist attraction.....he used to get down on his hands and knees, put food in his mouth and bang on the side of a wooden building...........
    1000s of rats then appeared, from underneath the building, that then took food from his mouth

    Unless there's more to do on Easter Island than there was in the late 1980's, I wouldn't stay more than a couple of days.

    I liked Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Argentina. Paraguay and Bolivia less so though La Paz was OK. If you can make it to the Galapagos, do.
