Glenda Jackson holds on to Hampstead by 42 votes.

I didn't realise she was still alive.

Nick Clegg's wife did a good job of elbowing Kirsty Wark away from her husband - one of the best examples of somebody saying "Thank you" with the clear meaning of "**** you" that I've ever seen

OK, extreme example. But as she said, she's been MP there a long time. If the people have been happy with her work, the fact she did something wrong doesn't have to mean much... in reality I think most people would take extra money if they could get away with it despite all the bluster. Maxing out expenses is like getting out of paying tax in many people's eyes... entirely fine if you can avoid getting caught.

It's not so much "getting things done" - it's "what you're getting done" that counts. This is where those productivity gurus that write books like "Getting Things Done" (which I bought some years ago but haven't got around to reading yet) fall down.

Let's face it, even the most optimistic publisher in the world isn't going to stick "Helped me slaughter six million Jews AND loads of poofs, cripples, retards, and gyppos!" - A. Hitler on the cover of the second edition

That ginger b1tch is on telly appearing quite smug. There really is no hope if someone like Blears can still win.

At least Jackie smith was got shot of!
