Pretty much like my experience with COBOL. Happily sitting there doing VM sysprog when got told that I'm doing a big COBOL project in 2 weeks on MVS. I had sen COBOL but then I had seen Sanskrit. Went on a one week course, came back and was project leader. Ended up with 7 people on the team at one point which was only meant to be 2.5 on a project which lasted 2 years and as only meant to be 6 months which taught me one thing, make the client sign off on the project details at the start so they can't keep changing their minds.Originally posted by Sysman View PostI remember a chap relating that he was given the COBOL manuals on Friday and told he was giving a COBOL course on Monday.
