Congrats on the ext, and the follow on too

I got the good news, bad news yesterday.

We are giving you 3 months ext. Then we are giving your job to Bob
Don't expect I will find anything in July.

Now looking at 2 options.
a. I get the role I have interviewed for, 6 months contract plus £100 more pd.

b. I take the 3 months ext, work from summer house in Ireland (keep the costs down). Then rent somewhere in France or Italy for the summer. (I might even try to house swap the place in Egypt)

What to do, what to do?

Got called into the bosses office this afternoon and as I don't really do much all day long and the contract was only until sometime in April I thought that this might be the big kiss-off, not extension. Sat down and he very politely asked if it would be okay if I could stay until the end of the year with the very good possibility of doing next year as well. What's a person to do? With another contract starting in a week or so, of course I said yes. Sometimes I do enjoy life

(still working on the Iranian thing as well as a call I got early Friday morning while in bed to help out an old customer. Sometimes there are just not enough days in the week)
