Saying you don't like folk music is like saying you don't like rock music. There are many styles within the genre, some hairy bloke with a guitar and a political agenda isn't what folk music is about.

I used to be in a folk club singing stuff like Old John Barleycorn every week. It was just a bit of fun.

We had a few young socialists in the club, including me , but I don't remember any political songs relevant to the UK at the time.
