A good job you spotted that in time. Another few months and you might have missed one.

It's the other way around - my JS emails arrive sometime in the middle of the night..... jobs appear on the feeds at any time through the day (admittedly not very often these days!)Originally posted by oversteer View PostAre Jobserve RSS feeds delayed compared to emails?

Not that I'm aware of, although of course it depends on how often you poll - I've seen things that have only just been posted appear in a feed.Originally posted by oversteer View PostAre Jobserve RSS feeds delayed compared to emails?
A good feed client should allow you to specify different refresh periods for different feeds; although I tend to keep things on thirty minutes, I could set my Jobserve feeds to refresh every few minutes if I chose, which is more frequently than my mail client checks my POP3 mailbox.

GULP sends me a daily e-mail of all jobs in my search criteria (seems to be better than the Jobserve one as well.) It also sends me a mail when someone is interested in me and an SMS along with that. Admittedly some of the options are a paid-for service but I find it so much better than Jobserve.

My market only seems to update first thing and last thing. so I don't really have to bother with the feeds.

An RSS feed reader automatically refreshes the feeds at specified intervals (thirty minutes in my case) - I can just glance at it now and again to see if anything new has arrived. I find it much more convenient than email, but YMMV

JobServe RSS Feeds
It appears that I disabled my feed reader's refreshing of my JobServe RSS feeds on 2 April 2009, sometime after 19:30.
Suppose I ought to turn them back on; if anything interesting comes through, it may even motivate me to update my CV
