    Valid point - I have held a full motorcycle & car licence since 17 - I was also given HGV lessons as a 21st birthday present & having experienced all 3 modes of driving it helps to see road situations from each viewpoint

    I had one too many scares in too short a time. In each case, me having to do something hasty to avoid being creamed by a twat on four wheels doing something stupid.

    I still think you shouldn't be able to apply for your car driving licence until you have clocked up at least 5,000 miles on a bike of some sort.
