So why do they persist with Dixons? Really odd having the names when they aren't worth a damn...chronic bad management - think they cleared out the board a year or so back...

Now is a good time to haggle with them as they will be trying to hit their targets and will let things go a little cheaper if you push them. I tried it at Jessops first and they wouldn't even consider it.

Surely they can't compete with other online retailers with better reputations - if they really wanted to try, a new name would have been a much better idea

Actually a few years ago I bought a camera from currys and got them to price match the best price I found online. The shop couldn't quite get to the price but they had it in stock which the online chaps did not (I didn't tell the Currys bloke that) and when you add the delivery charge the two were not too different.

Now is a good time to haggle with them as they will be trying to hit their targets and will let things go a little cheaper if you push them. I tried it at Jessops first and they wouldn't even consider it.

Extra strange as Dixons don't have any physical stores anymore so you couldn't go there even if you wanted to...

Airports! That's the only place you see them now, probably because tourists heading home have never heard how bad they are!
