Temperatures will drop to lows of 3C (37F) in the daytime and will plummet to minus 3C (27F) or less in northern parts of the UK at night.
OMG! -3C in December in very northern parts of the UK at night! That's like when the sun is somewhere else isn't it?
Can humans survive such plummeting temps?

I'm still in shock at the prospect of -3 deg C in December, up a tall mountain in a northern part of Scotland at night.

Wasn't there something on the news saying next year was going to be the hottest on record (i.e. in the last 150 years or some such slightly misleading amount)? Mind you, we're still in an ice age compared to most of earth's history.
